Funerals

Funeral liturgies are a celebration of our Christian hope in the Resurrection. In the Rite of Burial, we remember the person who has died and celebrate his or her life in the context of scripture and prayer.

One does not have to be a member of the parish to be buried from Trinity. To bury the dead is a Christian work of mercy, and we consider it a privilege to accompany and support the family of the deceased as they mourn and say goodbye to their loved one.

A funeral may or may not include Holy Communion. All those attending a funeral in the Episcopal Church, if they are baptized Christians, are welcome to receive the sacrament of Communion.
